We have been made aware that clients using some versions of Microsoft Access 365 to run Troika are experiencing issues using the Manual Time Entry function within Troika Time & Billing.  Some examples of errors seen are:


    The operating system is not presently configured to run this application.


    Error -2147221164  Class not registered TroiksSystem_ODBCConnectStr 


The affected versions are:

  • Version 2209 (Build 16.0.15629.20152)


We have received confirmation that the issue was introduced by Microsoft within the 365 update on 26 September 2022.  See here for further information on the issue, from Microsoft.


Workaround Recommendation


Whilst Microsoft investigate and resolve, the quickest way to get access to Troika Manual Time Entry again is to roll back the 26 September 2022 update.  Please ensure you contact your IT Department for further assistance with this.


Resolution


Microsoft advise that this issue was corrected within their update release on 11 October 2022.  See here for further information on the updates included in the Current Channel updates for Microsoft 365 Apps.


To update, within Microsoft Access, select Account and Office Updates, to download the latest release to the Microsoft Office products available from Microsoft.
